How to reach us

We do not publish an email address or a phone number on this site. A contact form is not live yet, so this page cannot take messages today. Once one is live, we will read every message, although we cannot promise a reply to each one.

Source corrections

When the form is live, it will be the best place for source corrections. Have you found a birthstone system, a Mohs value or an attribution that is wrong or out of date? Tell us which page it is on and what it should say. Please include a source too, because a link to the primary reference is the standard every claim here must meet.

A good correction names the page, quotes the line and gives the fix. It also links to the source. For example, a hardness value should cite a gem reference or a lab report.

Getting the data right is the point of this site. We update a page whenever a correction checks out against a real source. We never change a number quietly, because readers should see where the new one came from. That rule covers every chart we compare, so it covers our own reference data too.

What we do with a message

We do not run a mailing list, and we never ask for personal details to read the site. When a form is live, we will keep a message only as long as it takes to deal with it. Our privacy policy explains the rest.

Everything else

General questions and feedback on how a page reads are welcome too. If you are not sure whether something counts as a correction, send it anyway, because we would rather hear about a possible issue than miss a real one.

Reports of a broken link, a page that contradicts itself or a missing stone are welcome as well. Requests like these help shape what we build next, since the catalog is still growing. There is no formal process, and a short message is enough.
