Source corrections

This address is best for source corrections. Have you found a birthstone system, a Mohs value, or an attribution that's wrong or out of date? Tell us which page it's on and what it should say. Ideally, include a source too. A link to the primary reference works best, because that's the standard every claim here is held to.

Getting the data right is the point of this site. As a result, pages get updated whenever a correction checks out against a real source. We won't quietly change a number without saying where the new one came from. That rule applies to every chart we compare, so it applies to our own reference data too.

Everything else

General questions, feedback on how a page reads, or anything else that doesn't fit neatly into "correction" are welcome too. If you're not sure whether something counts, send it anyway. We'd rather hear about a possible issue and decide it's fine than miss a real one.

This also includes reporting a broken link, a page that seems to contradict itself, or a stone we haven't covered yet that you'd like to see added. Requests like that genuinely help shape what gets built next, since the catalog is still growing and reader input is one of the more useful ways to prioritize it. There's no formal process for any of this: an email is enough.
